Employment References Resource Library

BTCC Career Resources Library includes up-to-date articles, books, and resources about searching for a job, career planning, setting and achieving career goals, industry and occupational information, competency models, research materials, and writing resumes. The center will start with foundational resources; and focus on resources for target audiences – to tailor these workshops. This area contains a focused collection of videos, free audio podcast, books, periodicals, publications, and online newspapers selected to support the job seeker. The materials selected for the reference library cover a wide range of topics. In addition the library contains a variety of local, state, and regional employer directories, state reports and other periodicals.

While the materials are not available for check out, comfortable chairs are nearby for leisurely reading. Computer terminals are also available for career related research.

Computer Resources:

Computers are available to customers where they can work on their resumes, cover letters, and maintain proficiency in basic computer software skills, enhance their proficiency in the various software packages or through software specific training, add new skills to their employment related repertoire.
